On the Hunt for the Leprechaun!

Friday, March 19, 2010

The leprechaun made a few stops in our classroom this week. After we entered the classroom to find we had a visitor, we all checked our traps to see if we caught the "Wee Little Man".

Things were missing from our traps, but there was no leprechaun to be found.

On his 2nd visit he left us a clue to look in the fridge. In the fridge we found a recipe to make Leprechaun Pie.

We were trying to decide if we should trust the leprechaun and make the pie.

We decided to give it a try!

After making the pie, we enjoyed homemade potato soup. Mrs. Robinson is a wonderful cook and we always enjoy her snacks!

At each of our tables was a 1/2 of a raw potato. We enjoyed touching it and looking at it.

Mr. Farmer, another kindergarten teacher, always makes us laugh! He scared Mrs. Robinson!

We came back from lunch on St. Patrick's Day to find that the leprechaun left us another clue! He took the pie we made!

We went on a hunt around the school, checking all the freezers for our pie!

Our last stop was the teacher's lounge!

We had 3 freezers to check in there!
Nope...not there!

We made ourselves comfortable in the teacher's lounge!

Can you tell by Mrs. Robinson's face that we finally found the pie!

Mr. Bolger, our Principal, was in the lounge enjoying his lunch when we interrupted! Mr. Bolger is from Ireland and Sam made him a t-shirt to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
